10-year bond yield remains flat, but traders expect a spike soon

The US Federal Reserve’s hawkish commentary and a roadmap for rate hikes next year have turned the local market’s attention to action from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Though the benchmark bond yield did not move much on Thursday, dealers said higher international rates, local inflation and the central bank’s move away from the benchmark reverse repo rates will take yields higher.
