Reports that Cryptocurrency exchange Huobi has stopped its miner hosting services in China

Media reports over the weekend that the China firm has halted its miner hosting services on the Chinese mainland 

  • the firm said in its statement that futures contracts & leveraged investment products would temporarily be not be available to new users from a few specified countries and regions, without specifying which countries or regions would be affected
  • Huobi will stop selling crypto mining machines in China

The actions are said to be due to warnings from the Chinese government that it would crack down on cryptocurrency mining.
