Futures on major US indices were trading in positive territory at the time of writing. S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures inched up to 2901.5 and 7558.75 respectively at the time of writing.

In news related to Sino-U.S. trade tensions, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday he was ready to slap more tariffs on Chinese goods if he cannot make progress in trade talks with China’s President Xi Jinping at the G20 summit.

On the economic front, PPI for May is scheduled to be released today at 8:30 am ET. The PPI is expected to rise by 0.1% on an MoM basis.

European equities were trading higher on Tuesday morning. In the Cash Markets, the CAC 40 and the DAX 30 rose 0.79% and 1.24% respectively at the time of writing.

On the data front, U.K Claimant Count Change for May released earlier today came in at 23.2K. Claimant Count Change was above the market expectation of 22.9K.

Asia-Pacific stocks closed in positive territory on Tuesday. The Shanghai Composite jumped 2.58% to end the trading day at 2,925.72. The Nikkei 225 inched up 0.33% to close at 21,204.28. The ASX 200 rose 1.59% to end the trading day at 6,546.30 on Tuesday.

On the economic front, NAB Business Confidence for May released earlier today came in at 7. The index reading was above the consensus estimates of 1.

US Dollar Index futures edged up 0.01% to 96.75 at the time of writing. The pound fell today as rival candidates for the role of U.K. prime minister laid out their plans and investors prepared for labour market data. The U.S. dollar today hovered near a two-and-a-half-month low as bets on an interest rate cut by the US central bank increased, although traders were wary of selling aggressively before a G20 summit later this month.

In the Commodity Markets, Gold and Silver fell to 1321.04 and 14.615 respectively at the time of writing. In news related to commodity markets, crude prices gained today in line with firmer stock markets and boosted by expectations that the OPEC and its allies will keep withholding supply.

In the Cryptocurrency Markets, Bitcoin and Ethereum declined to 7791.34 and 242.24 respectively at the time of writing. In news related to the cryptocurrency markets, the crypto market was trading higher on Tuesday morning. The total market capitalization of the cryptocurrencies rose to $254.3 billion from $245.6 billion a day earlier.
