Futures on major US indices were trading around the flatline at the time of writing. Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 futures edged up to 7277.25 and 2816 respectively at the time of writing.

On the economic front, New Home Sales for January are scheduled to be released today at 10 am ET. Sales are expected to rise to 622K from 621K in the previous month.

European equities were trading higher on Thursday morning. In the Cash Markets, the DAX 30 and the CAC 40 inched up 0.37% and 0.63% respectively at the time of writing.

In Brexit news, U.K. lawmakers on Wednesday rejected the idea of leaving the European Union with no deal. Members of the U.K. parliament will vote later today on whether to extend the Brexit deadline.

Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed on Thursday. The Nikkei 225 edged down 0.01% to finish the trading day at 21,287.02. The Shanghai Composite declined 1.2% to close at 2990.68. The ASX 200 inched up 0.3% to close at 6,179.60.

On the economic front, Chinese Industrial Production (YoY) for February released earlier today came in at 5.3%. The index change was below the consensus estimates of 5.5%.

The pound fell on Thursday, retreating from nine-month highs as investors braced for this week’s third parliamentary Brexit vote, this time on whether to delay Britain’s 29th March deadline for exiting the EU. The Australian dollar also fell today after reports that a meeting between China and the US to end their trade war had been delayed.

In the Commodity Markets, Silver and Gold fell to 15.185 and 1296.63 respectively at the time of writing. In news related to commodity markets, Brent and WTI crude oil futures reached four-months highs earlier today, as a production curb agreement by OPEC and its partners along with U.S. sanctions on Iran and Venezuela tightened global supplies.

In the Cryptocurrency Markets, Bitcoin and Ethereum inched up to 3850.78 and 131.24 respectively at the time of writing. In news related to the cryptocurrency markets, Coinbase Custody has completed its first over-the-counter trade directly out of cold, or offline, storage, according to announcements on Wednesday. The cryptocurrency exchange said the trade occurred after its Custody service had been “directly integrated” with the OTC desk at Coinbase Pro.
