Closing a trade will realize the profit or loss and update the account balance.
Partial Trade Closure
If supported by the platform, traders may:
-
Close a portion of an open trade
-
Leave the remaining position active
This allows traders to secure partial profits while maintaining market exposure.
Monitoring Margin Impact
Open trades affect:
-
Used margin
-
Free margin
-
Margin level percentage
Traders should regularly monitor these values to avoid margin calls or automatic position closures.
Important Notes
-
Open positions remain active until they are manually closed or automatically closed by Stop Loss, Take Profit, or stop-out conditions.
-
Market volatility may cause rapid changes in profit or loss.
-
Capital Street FX is not responsible for losses caused by delayed action by the trader.
