Fixed Leverage up to 1:10000
No News or Weekend Cuts

Your leverage is set by your deposit and then stays fixed. It doesn’t change for news releases, weekend gaps, account growth, trading losses or the instrument you trade. Choose any setting up to your tier’s maximum, and it stays exactly where you put it.

Maximum Leverage

Which leverage do
I get for my deposit?

Your maximum leverage is set by your qualifying deposit. You can pick any setting up to that maximum, from 1:1 upward, and change it yourself at any time in your client area.

Qualifying deposit (USD) Maximum fixed leverage Stop-out
$50 – $991:10020%
$100 – $1991:50020%
$200 – $9991:1,00030%
$1,000 – $1,9991:2,00030%
$2,000 – $2,9991:4,00050%
$3,000 – $3,9991:5,00050%
$4,000 – $4,9991:7,00050%
$5,000 and above1:10,00050%

Qualifying deposit = total deposits minus withdrawals of deposited funds. Withdrawing profits does not reduce it.
Bonus credit is not counted. Maximum position sizes apply at the 1:4,000 – 1:10,000 tiers: [X] lots per order and [Y] lots open per account.

Applies to: all 66 forex pairs, 47 indices, 629 stock CFDs, 46 commodities and metals, 21 crypto CFDs, 24 ETFs and 4 bonds, on AlFX, FxyFi and Act.

What does fixed leverage mean at Capital Street FX?

Fixed means the conditions you trade under are published in advance and do not move. Many brokers use dynamic leverage: they lower it automatically before news, ahead of weekends, as your balance grows or on certain instruments. We don’t.

When can my leverage change?

  1. 1

You change it. Choose any setting up to your tier’s maximum in your client area.

  2. 2

You withdraw deposited funds below your tier. For example, if you deposit $5,000 and later withdraw $4,500 of it, your qualifying deposit becomes $500 and your account moves to the 1:1,000 tier. You’ll see the new leverage on screen before you confirm the withdrawal, and the change only applies when you have no open positions.

  3. 3

A restricted trading practice is confirmed on your account. See “Restricted trading practices” below.

Can I move up a tier?

Yes. Deposit enough to reach the next threshold and your maximum leverage rises to that tier. Withdrawing profits never moves you down.

How much margin do I need at 1:10,000?

Margin is the amount set aside to open a position: position value ÷ leverage. For 1 standard lot of EUR/USD at 1.1220 (position value $112,200):

Leverage margin and pip value
LeverageMargin for 1 lot EUR/USD
1:100$1,122.00
1:500$224.40
1:1,000$112.20
1:2,000$56.10
1:5,000$22.44
1:10,000$11.22
Margin call and stop-out

How do margin call and stop-out work?

We use the standard calculation:

Margin level = EquityUsed margin × 100
  • Margin call at 100%: you’re notified that your equity has fallen to the level of your used margin.
  • Stop-out at 20%, 30% or 50% (by tier, see table above): positions are closed automatically, starting with the largest losing position, until the margin level is back above the stop-out level.
  • Equity excludes bonus credit. Stop-out levels never change for news, weekends or gaps.

It means each $1 of margin controls $10,000 of position value. At Capital Street FX, 1:10,000 is the maximum fixed leverage for accounts with a qualifying deposit of $5,000 or more.

A qualifying deposit of $5,000 or more. Smaller deposits qualify for lower fixed tiers, from 1:100 at $50 up to 1:7,000 at $4,000–$4,999.

No. Your leverage and stop-out level stay the same before, during and after every news release, including NFP, FOMC, CPI and central bank decisions.

No. Leverage on open positions is the same at the Friday close, over the weekend, at the Monday open and through market gaps.

No. Leverage is set by your qualifying deposit, not your balance, so trading profits and losses never change it.

Withdrawing profits never changes it. If you withdraw deposited funds and your qualifying deposit falls below your tier, your account moves to the matching lower tier. You'll see the new leverage before confirming, and it applies only when you have no open positions.

Margin call is at 100% margin level for every tier. Stop-out is 20% for tiers up to 1:500, 30% for 1:1,000–1:2,000 and 50% for 1:4,000–1:10,000. These levels never change.

Scalping, hedging, high-frequency trading, Expert Advisors and automated trading, all types of arbitrage (including latency, news/event and swap/rollover), volume manipulation, pairs and spread trading, corporate action exploits, bonus and drawdown exploits, and gap trading around session open, close, rollover, weekends and holidays. See the full list and how each is assessed above.

Yes. Accounts using the 1:4,000 to 1:10,000 leverage tiers are limited to a maximum of 10 lots per order and 300 open positions per account. These limits are fixed and published; they are not leverage reductions.

Leverage Disclaimer

Extraordinary events

Leverage stays fixed in normal and volatile markets, including news releases, weekends and gaps. In rare events outside our control, such as an exchange halt, the failure of a liquidity provider, the removal of a currency peg or a regulatory order, we may temporarily adjust leverage or margin on the instruments affected. We’ll tell you what changed and restore standard conditions once the event ends. Leverage may also be reduced if a restricted practice or abuse of leverage is confirmed on your account.
